Our mission is to enhance our community through active,
committed and civic minded participation.

We are members of The General Federation of Women’s Clubs
an international women’s organization dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service.

“Celebrating a Century of Service with Federation”

Welcome to the GFWC Woman’s Club of Indio, the oldest service club in the Coachella Valley, founded in 1912.  Located in the beautiful Colorado Desert east of Palm Springs, our club is dedicated to enhancing our community through active, committed, and civic minded participation through either direct service or monetary assistance.

We select projects that reflect the needs of our community such as the Coachella Valley Rescue Mission. We assist with their food pantry, holiday food drives, personal care kits for those in need and we provide food service assistance several times a month. We award $1,500 scholarships to qualifying high school seniors from Indio, Shadow Hills and Amistad High Schools and award a $1,000 Empowering Women Through Education Scholarship to a woman who is the attempting to acquire marketable skills through educational or vocational training.

We welcome you to our monthly meetings on the first Wednesday of each month from October through May at 11:30 a.m. at Heritage Palms Golf Club. Please browse our brochure and calendar for events and our upcoming centennial celebration "Celebrating a Century of Women with Taste" which will take place in February 2012.
