Dear WCI Members and Supporters,
I am honored to serve as President of the oldest civic organization in the Coachella Valley. Our organization has assisted our community for 103 years in helping those in need and encouraging our young women to become whatever they strive to be in their life.
We have numerous opportunities to utilize our member skills, and everyone has skills. Whether you like organizing things, greeting and interacting with people, chatting on the phone, writing notes, mentoring young women, helping at events like our Heritage Day there is a place in our organization where we need you.
The best way to be a part of any organization is to help the organization succeed. Our members do that by helping out on one (or more) of the great committees that we have in our organization.
We reach out to our community by helping women in domestic violence situations, with our homeless through the Rescue Mission, our children through Ophelia Project, helping our local Coachella Valley Historical Museum, scholarships and Read Across Indio to name a few of our programs.
My goals over my term as president is to make sure each member understands how important they are to our organization, continue to serve our community through the various programs we currently offer, and help our club get more publicity in the City so that people realize the efforts all of you are making to continue to make Indio the Best City in the Valley.
I hope you will come by and check out this fabulous organization.
